Standard rooms are the cheapest room category, with Standard King or Queen rooms costing $50 less than my Double Bed. While this is nearly three times the price of low season when you'll find rates as low as $109, it's still significantly less than many other competitors which quickly rise above $500 nightly this time of year. The room rate was $279 plus taxes and fees, for a total price of $335. I spent the night in a Standard 2 Double Bed, which I paid for in full and booked last minute in high season, just three days in advance. I saw a mixed crowd of young families, couples, friends, and even business travelers. With its bright, eclectic, and tropical Art Deco decor, Circa 39 is ideal for those looking for a stylish, budget-friendly getaway. Then near the backyard area, you’ll find the hotel’s award-winning bar, the Broken Shaker. Find fresh fish, shellfish, choice meats, and local produce – much of which is grown on the property’s onsite garden. The 27 Restaurant has a communal atmosphere and utilizes local ingredients. Housed in a classic 1930s Art Deco building, the hotel is noted for its bespoke design, inventive cocktails, tasty food, and a lush backyard oasis that makes the the spot a local favorite. Further north in Mid Beach is the trendy Freehand Miami, which highlights the local culture. South Beach isn’t the only part of Miami Beach to explore the food scene. Santorini by Georgios at Hilton Bentley Miami/South Beach Families with kids can enjoy the outdoor deck and nearby park. You can find a large happy hour crowd inside the restaurant, with a good mix of locals and hotel guests. Served three per order, choose from ribeye, mahi-mahi, carnitas, or mushroom. Tacos are served with warm, house-made tortillas and accompanied by fresh salsas and sauces. The beachside cantina has excellent seafood, notably its Raw Bar with delicacies such as Aguachile Rojo (Sinaloa-style ceviche, cucumber, fennel, and sesame) and Tostada de Pulpo (Spanish octopus, “hoja santa,” guacamole, and chile de arbol). An accessibly priced menu focuses on traditional Mexican cuisine and offers a variety of customizable options for vegetarians and those with gluten sensitivities. Bringing Baja-inspired Mexican eats to the SoFi neighborhood, Lolo’s was created by chef/partner Richard Ampudia and Plan Do See, a global hospitality brand based in Japan. Several new restaurants have opened here in recent years, including Cibo Wine Bar (dubbed one of the best Italian restaurants in Miami and home to a two-story award-winning wine room), and most recently, Lolo’s Surf Cantina at the Marriott Stanton South Beach. The South of Fifth neighborhood in South Beach is one of the most luxurious areas in Miami and is home to famous restaurants such as Smith & Wollensky, Joe’s Stone Crab, and Prime 112, among others.
